There was no record of a cemetery in this location, one grave found by stripmine shovel was removed to the Greenwood Cemetery at Canton, Ill. The tombstone was removed also. Courthouse records show "80 acres S ½ of NE ¼ of Section 36 Buckheart Township from Eliza Capps and wife to Abraham Peters. Instrument #20318- November 3, 1848- recorded April 9, 1853- Book # 28-Page # 154.
