Funeral card for Elmer Switzer (Elmer was married to May Switzer Brown. He was injured in a RR accident and died a few days later. It seems May remarried later to someone named Brown--but kept in contact with the Switzer family.)

Writing on the back of Nellie's postcard sent to Samuel Parrish. They married in 1910. The postmark is unclear, but I assume they were "courting" at this time. She lived in Table Grove and he lived in Ipava.

Aunt Mabel Carson, Nellie Parrish, Bud Carson, Betty Parrish (Mabel and Nellie are sisters. Bud Carson was Mabel's 3rd husband--his real name is Charles William Carson. Betty Parrish is James E. Parrish's wife -- my grandma. This picture was taken abt. 1962 at the Carson home in Peoria, IL)

Samuel Parrish is the man on the left. He worked as a meat cutter. In 1910 in his wedding announcement from the newspaper, he is working at Gustine's Market in Canton. I now he also worked for more than 10 years for Kroger.
