In May of 1903 her grand daughter Anna Fallman Hendrikson wrote home to Sweden to her mother that "Grandmother was so childish that it was difficult to talk to her. She seemed not aware of the world around her". Anna wrote "perhaps it was her dicision to immigrate at such an old age that had an effect on her. At one time she had been a strong woman".
For a time she lived with her son Carl in North Dakota . In 1900 She's listed in Henderson County with her daughter Lotta Nolen and her family.
