Samuel Wilson Black, born in Greene county, Ohio, November, 8, 1835, was but a babe when his parents came to Henderson county. He continued with his father during the latter's life, and then came into possession of the homestead.
In 1862, September 4, he was united in marriage to Catharine Z., daughter of Eli and Ann Hinman, Mr. and Mrs. Black have had nine children, two of whom they have buried. Mr. B. is a member of the masonic fraternity, Carman lodge.
