GENESEO FUNERAL FOR MRS. HOOVER TO BE ON FRIDAY
Geneseo; Funeral services for Mrs Catherine Hoover 75 who died in her home at 119 North Spring Street Wednesday morning will be held Friday afternoon at 2 in the Myers funeral home. The Rev. C.F.W. Smith will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery . Mrs Hoover, the former Catherine Bird was born Jan 13, 1870 at Grundy Center Ia. , daughter of the late John and Anna Rowland Bird. She was reared and educated in the Algona Ia. schools. On Feb 22 1888 she was married to Thomas Hoover in Dysart Ia. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors Sewing Circle and Sunshine Club. She is survived by one son, Raymond, of Geneseo; one daughter, Mrs Viola Weber of Geneseo; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents and her husband. CATHERINE HOOVER SUCCUMBS AUG 29; FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE AT MYERS CHAPEL FRIDAY, 2 P.M.
Mrs. Catherine Hoover, 75 of 119 North Spring Street, Geneseo, a resident for 55 years, died on Wednesday morning, August 29 at 12:45 at the residence after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at the Myers Chapel in Geneseo Friday afternoon of this week at 2 o'clock with the Rev. C.F. W. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood cemetery.
Catherine Bird was born January 13, 1870 at Grundy Center Iowa , the daughter of John and Anna Bird. She was educated at Algona and Rowland , Ia. and on February 22, 1888 was married to Thomas Hoover. Mrs. Hoover was preceded in death by her husband in December 1940. Survivors are one son, Raymond of Geneseo and one daughter, Mrs. Viola Weber of Geneseo. five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs Hoover was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge, the sewing circle and the sunshine club.
