Cherri Duncan, 58, of Bagley, Wis., formerly of Colona, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, Wis. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. The Rev. Steve Kettlekamp will officiate. Burial will be in the Dayton Corners Cemetery , Colona. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the Bagley First Responders.
Cherri was born on Jan. 28, 1949 , in Geneseo, the daughter of Raymond and Violet Belha Rahn. She was a 1967 graduate of Geneseo High School . Cherri was united in marriage to Wayne Duncan on Oct. 3, 1975 , at Colona United Methodist Church . She had been employed at the Geneseo Telephone Company for seven years, Illinois Bell Telephone Company, Moline , for 15 years and Ohio Bell Telephone for five years, from which she retired in 1992. Cherri was a member of Colona United Methodist Church and Red Hat Ladies of Bagley. She enjoyed planning organizations for her neighborhood, playing dominos, and going to yard sales with friends.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne; two stepdaughters (and spouse), Theresa (Doni) Isenberger, East Moline, Rene Hoover, Waverly, Iowa; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; half-brother, Darrell Machalek, LeClaire. She was preceded in death by her parents.
