FATAL ACCIDENT
Mr. David Holke met with an accident last Friday evening which terminated in his death on Sunday at noon .
He was driving home in his wagon from the threshing field on Spring Creek about a mile east of Mr. Asa Crook's when a wheel of the wagon ran over a stump throwing Mr. Holke out. He struck on his head and shoulders, and when taken up was insensible.
Dr. Brown of this city was immediately called when it was found the injured man was completely paralyzed from his throat down, but could move his head. It was stated by some that his neck was broken, but such was not the case.
Mr. H, lingered along until Sunday morning when he died. He left a wife and family to mourn his sudden and untimely death.
