Dorothy Mary Anderson, 85, Rock Island , formerly of Orion, died Saturday, March 16, 2002 , at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Geneseo.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion, where further arrangements are pending.

Services for Dorothy M.Anderson, 85, of Rock Island , formerly of Orion, are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery , Orion.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
She died Saturday, March 16, 2002 , at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.
Dorothy was born March 30, 1916 , in Scott County, Iowa, daughter of Robert F. and Stella L. Guckert Rahn. She married Rolland E. Carlson Dec. 10, 1934 , in Osco , Ill. He preceded her in death in November 1971.
Dorothy worked as a cashier for IGA and The Variety Store.
Dorothy was a member of Orion United Methodist Church , the United Methodist Women group of the church, and Royal Neighbors.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting and playing the piano.
Survivors (and spouses) include a son, Wayne Carlson, Rock Island ; daughters, Phyllis (John) Behn, Cedar Rapids , Iowa , and Evelyn Engle, Fort Wayne , Ind. ; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
