Esther M. Drehman, 88, Cambridge, died Thursday, March 29, 1990, in the Hammond-Henry hospital extended care unite, Geneseo. She was born September 3, 1901 in Geneseo, the daughter of Emil and Mary (Peterson) Swanson. She was reared and educated in the Geneseo area and graduated from High School there in 1919. She married Earl Drehman on January 19, 1921 in Geneseo. He died February 22, 1977.
She was a member of the Cambridge Lutheran church, the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, The Cambridge American Legion auxilliary, Mothers of World War II, Inc. Cambridge Senior Citizens and the American Association of Retired Persons. She is survived by a daughter, Mary J. Burton of East Moline; a son Dale Drehman of Cambridge; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. A.B. (Ellen) Phillips of Geneseo; and two brothers, Herb Swanson and Clarence Swanson both of Geneseo. She was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and one great-granddaughter.
