FINAL RITES HELD FOR MISS HOOVER; FORMER TECHER, 53, DIES IN HOSPITAL HERE MAY 9TH

Funeral services for Miss Florence Ann Hoover, 53, who died in Geneseo Hospital at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 9th, were conducted at 2:30 p.m., Sunday in Myers chapel with Rev. Joseph C. Allen of the Unitarian church officiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemtery. Pallbearers were Phineas Morrow, John Morrow, Irvin Adams, Clyde Harmon, Maurice Holt and Duane Martin.

Miss Hoover had been in failing health for more that a year and had been seriously ill of a heart ailment for about two weeks.

Miss Hoover was born January 9, 1893 at Belmond , Ia. the daughter of John W. and Virginia Hawley Hoover. She came to Geneseo with her parents while still a child. She taught rural schools in this vicinity and grade schools in Iowa . Her last teaching position was in a primary grade in Gary Ind. Hiss Hoover was a member of the Unitarian church.

Survivors include two sisters, Miss Rena Hoover of Geneseo, and Miss Amybelle Hoover of Seattle Wash. ; two brothers, Loren H. Hoover, of Peoria and Oscar Hoover of Bloomfield , Conn ; a cousin, Mrs. Kenneth Smith of Oak Park who was reared in the Hoover home wand several other cousins.
