FRIEDA A. LADWIG

Frieda A. Ladwig, 93m of the Geneseo Good Samaritan Village died Monday, June 24, 1996 at the village.  Funeral services for Mrs. Ladwig were held Thursday, June 27 at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church , Geneseo, where she was a member.  The Revs. Dean Dummer and Robert Yount officiated and music was provided by organist Judy Deutsch. Burial was North Cemetery , Geneseo.  Pallbearers were Donald Buechler, Alvin Gradert, James Resser, Kenneth Cherry, Wayne Gradert and Glenn Sigwalt.  Memorials may be made to her church. 

The former Frieda Buechler was born February 21, 1903 in Edford Township , the daughter of August and Mary (Gehn) Buechler.  She married Fred Ladwig on January 30, 1929 in Geneseo.  He died February 5, 1973 .  She enjoyed gardening. Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and four sisters.  Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Richard Nowers, of Geneseo; granddaughters, Diane Nowers of Grand Marais, Minnesota and Janet Nowers-Meyer of Buffalo Grove; sisters, Esther Sigwalt and Velda Rice, both of Geneseo, and sisters-in-law, Priscilla Buechler and Ruby Buechler both of Geneseo.
