Glen Harlan
Glen Harlan, 84, Kewanee, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998, at home.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Cavanagh and Schueneman Funeral Home, Kewanee. Burial is in Wethersfield Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Kewanee Veterans Council. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials to Kewanee Hospital Hospice or to a favorite charity.
He was born July 21, 1914, in rural Bishop Hill, Ill., to Jess and Esther Hier Harlan. He married Shirley Fassett Jan. 28, 1951, in Geneseo.
He served in the Army during WWII in the South Pacific.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Harold Harlan, Kewanee, and Francis Harlan, Greenland; three grandchildren; sisters, Doris Monceski and Mildred Libby, both of Kewanee, Bernadine Olson, Rock Island, and Jean Ferns, Taylor Ridge; and a brother, Raymond Harlan, Rock Island. He was preceded by two brothers and a sister.
