GLENNWOOD CEMETERY

This cemetery was laid aside by Thomas Glenn in 1837 upon the death of Reverend Birch. The land was chosen because it was on a hill overlooking the river valley. It was land belonging to Anthony Hunt, and it was bought in 1902 by the cemetery trustees. It was made a township cemetery.

Capt Evan's Co. of Col. Duff's Delaware refit. In both Battles of Trenton and Battles of Princeton and Brandywine. Lieut. Oct 15, 1777-July 15, 1778. Capt. McKee's Delaware Spy Co. Preventing Tory aid to British. Erected to this Patriot and Pioneer by Henry County, and dedicated by the DAR 1925. Lieut. Nixon was with George Washington at Valley Forge.
