GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH CEMETERY

.At first the Episcopal services were held at the Henry County Court House in Cambridge and later at the Hinman Country School.

By 1873, there were enough members and they decided to plan building a church in rural Osco. Jared H. Smith had already given 10 acres of land to be used for a cemetery, church and house for a full time minister.

This cemetery was to be used by all people regardless of color, race, or religion. A Potter's Field section was also set aside to accommodate those who had no family connections. Some five or six came from the County House, now known as Hillcrest. The Cambridge Monument Company supplied a common stone with names for those who had no stones.
