Jack Duncan, 88, Colona, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at Illini Hospital, Silvis.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Family Funeral Services, Colona. Burial is in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Colona Fire Department.
Mr. Duncan was born Sept. 20, 1910, in Bladinsville, Ill., the son of Humphrey and Lula Melvin Duncan. He married Lucille Stockwell March 15, 1933, in Rock Island.
He was a lathe operator at John Deere Spreader Works for over 33 years, retiring in 1970.
He enjoyed fishing and fox hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Duncan, Colona; sons, Wendell Duncan, Colona, Wayne Duncan, Bagley, Wis., and Wilbur Duncan, Geneseo; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Wyman.
