CAMBRIDGE , Ill. -- Services for John "Sonny" Atkinson, of Cambridge , will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Homes, Cambridge . Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery , Cambridge . Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Atkinson died Monday, Oct. 12, 1998 , at Hammond-Henry Hospital , Geneseo. He had worked at J I Case, Bettendorf , until it closed in 1982. He was born Nov. 28, 1934 , in Geneseo. Memorials may be made to John Atkinson Memorial Fund. Survivors include a daughter, Verl Larsen, Osco; a son, John Scott, Silvis; two grandsons; his mother, Hazel Atkinson, Cambridge; and brothers, Don, Geneseo, and Bob, Blue Springs, Mo.
