John W. Hoover a resident of this county since 1854, died at his home just northeast of the city at 3 a.m. Thursday, July 30th of dropsy.  Deceased was a native of Blair County PA. and was aged 60 years and 2 months. He leaves a wife and daughter. The funeral will be held at his late residence but the time had not been decided upon when we last inquired.
