FORMER GENESEO RESIDENT DIES

Mrs. Mary Katherine Gradert, 76, of Rock Island died at her home Tuesday morning June 23 following an extended illness. Funeral services were Thursday morning, June 25 in St. Joseph 's Roman Catholic church, Rock Island . Burial was in Calvary cemetery, Rock Island .

She was born September 13 1887 in Davenport , the daughter of Sanford D. and Mary Boland Morey. She grew up in Davenport and received her education in the parochial school there. In 1905 she was married to William G. Atkinson at Rock Island . He died November 1, 1924 . In 1937 she was married to William V. Gradert in Geneseo. He died April 1 1955 . From 1905 to 1937 she resided in Rock Island . She then moved to Geneseo until 1955 when she returned to Rock Island .

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Willard Otto and Mrs. Paul Snyder, both of Davenport and Mrs. Mae Tyler at home; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her parents and both husbands preceded her in death.
