Amy Enslow Camery

"For nine days Mrs. Camery had been critically ill and during her sickness she was hopeful of recovere.  Nine days ago a child was born, but the little one lived only three hours.  Mrs Camery's death was caused by concussion of the brain.  Amy Enslow was born two and a half miles northwest of Kewanee, January 2, 1871 and had always made her home in Kewanee and vicinity.  She was the daughter of William S. and Susan M. Enslow and the second day of this year observed her 40th birthday. She was united in marriage with Harvey Camery last July 4th.  When she was aged 19 years she was engaged as a school teacher and for a score of years continued in this vocation.  She taught in the Kewanee schools and in the country schools near Kewanee.
