Laurence C. "Larry" Duff, 74, of 538 Whitney Ave. , died Monday afternoon at Kewanee Public Hospital Born Oct. 19, 1911 , in Corning , Kan. , son of David and Nellie (Carter) Duff.  He was reared and educated there. 

He married Truilly VanDewoestine Feb. 24, 1938 , in Perry , Iowa . She survives with two sons, Raymond of Kewanee and Richard of Galesburg, one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Delores) Grubaugh of Lake City, Fla., five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter,; and one sister, Margaret Klobes of Rock Falls.  One sister and two brothers preceded him in death.  He had worked for many years at the Burlington-Chicago Carthage Co. in Kewanee retiring in 1968.  He then worked at the Penberthy Co. in Prophetstown, retiring from there in 1976.  He was a member of the Teamster Union. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at Cavanagh and Schueneman Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Johnson of the Zion Lutheran Church officiatingg.  Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery .  Memorials may be made either to the American Cancer Society or to the Zion Lutheran Church .
