Lawrence G. Kleinau, Jr. 32 of route 2, Geneseo died Tuesday evening September 3 in Illini hospital, Silvis.
He was born March 28, 1942 in Geneseo, the son of Lawrence and Violet Young Kleinau. He was reared and received his education in Geneseo where he had lived all his life. Mr. Kleinau served in the army for two years, one of which was spent in Korea . He was an instruments and test mechanic at John Deere Harvester Works East Moline. On June 17, 1967 he married Oneida Hays in Hooppole. He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist church.
Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Pamela and Janice, and a son Ryan all at home; his father Lawrence Sr. of Geneseo; a brother Dennis of Arlington Heights; a sister, Miss Donna Kleinau of Alpha, a the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Amelia Kleinau of Reading Mich.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, in the Ebenezer United Methodist church with the Rev Charles Shriver pastor officiating. Blair Redell will be soloist and Mrs. Jeff Snodgrass, organist. Pallbearers will be William Noord, John Verplaetse, Alfred Baraks, Kenneth Rahn, Dick Kleinau, and Elon Young. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery .
