MRS. BUECHLER BURIED WEDNESDAY, NATIVE OF EDFORD TWP DIES IN GENESEO JUNE 30
Funeral services for Mrs. August W. Buechler, 70, a lifetime resident of the Geneseo vicinity who died at 10 a.m. Monday, June 30, 1947, in her home on East Exchange street, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Concordia Lutheran church with Rev H. J. Elling pastor officiating. Pallbearers were Raymond Kane, Walter Kane, Clarence Gehn, Elmer Gehn, Alvin Gehn and Norman Chrishop. Miss Bernice Elling sang. Burial was in North Cemetery and Myers funeral home was in charge.
Mrs. Buechler, the former, Mary Gehn, daughter of Frederick and Albertina Firch Gehn, was born Oct. 19, 1876, in Edford twp. and received her education there. For the last three years she resided in Geneseo. She married August W. Buechler Jan 13, 1898 in Edford Township. She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by a son Alfred. Survivors include the widower, two sons, Robert and Edwin, both of Geneseo; seven daughters, Mrs. Elsie Menzenberg of Cordova, and Mrs. Frieda Ladwig, Mrs. Velda Gradert, Mrs. Ester Sigwalt, Mrs. Elma Cherry, Mrs. Lillian Resser and Mrs. Irene Helg all of Geneseo; two brothers, John and August Gehn both of Geneseo; 27 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
