Phillip Boss died Tuesday, April 30, 1879 , at the resident of J.R. Geath in Annawan, Henry County in his 85 year. Father of Mrs. R.J. Heath of Annawan. Mrs. John Henderson of Chicago, and Mrs. G.C. Alden of this city. His death was very sudden as he seemed in his usual good health until fifteen minutes before death.

Lynn, John, death occurred at Alpha on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1888 . He was one of the old settlers of North Henderson, Mercer Co. Ill. And resided there until 3 or 4 years ago. Failing health caused by cancer, compelled him to sell his farm and moved to village of Alpha Rio Jan. 7, 1888
