Obituary For Velma E. Krause By Star Courier staff

KEWANEE - Velma E. Krause, 89, of Kewanee, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001 , at Kewanee Hospital .  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Rux Funeral Home, Kewanee, Pastor David Poe officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery , Kewanee. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Memorial Fund.
She was born July 23, 1911 , in Burns Township , the daughter of William F. and Elizabeth ( Geitz) Lempke. She married Everett H. Krause Dec. 19, 1939 , in Kahoka , Mo. He preceded her in death May 23, 1982 . Surviving are several nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She had attended Burns Township Country School . She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Church and its Women's Guild in Kewanee.
