
There is an atmosphere of quiet and good order apparent. This is the ruling spirit of the Wilkinsons, warden and matron. Henry county was fortunate in securing the services of Lyman J. Wilkinson and wife as warden and matron in 1872. They had officiated in this capacity at the Bureau county farm for two years. Both served Henry county faithfully for a generation, both passed away while in the service of the county, with long and honorable records ; and they were succeeded four years ago by William L. Wilkinson and wife, their son and daughter-in-law, who are keeping up the high Wilkinson standard now
