A. T. Boydstun: Emma Dawdy Boydstun and A. T. Boydstun i.e., Asa Thomas Boydstun; born August 31, 1838, in Indian Twp., Knox Co., IL to Isabel and Bartlett Boydstun. Asa married Emily (Emma) Dawdy, daughter of John W. and Tabitha Dawdy, November 10, 1861, in Indian Point Twp., Knox Co., IL. She was born July 27, 1841, and also died there September 10, 1926. Isabel Boydstun: Isabel Dawdy Boydstun, wife of Bartlett Boydstun, were married April 1, 1820, in Glasgow, Barren Co., KY. She was daughter of James Dawdy and Margaret Morse, born Apr 17, 1802, in Barren Co., KY and died March 7, 1868, in Indian Point Twp., Knox Co., IL. Isabel was John J. D. Boydstun’s Mother and Minnie and Mary’s Grandmother. Research by Linda Johnson, Gladys Domonoske and Margaret R. Bates.
 

 


 



 

Jane Boydstun: John J. D. Boydstun married Mary Jane Dawdy December 19, 1850, in Knox Co., IL, daughter of John Dawdy and Sarah Boydstun Dawdy. She was born November 22, 1831, in Eureka, Woodford Co., IL, and died January 25, 1915. She and John had four children. Three of whom are buried in Boydstun/Dawdy Cemetery. Research by Linda Johnson, Gladys Domonoske and Margaret R. Bates.

 

 

 


 

 

John J. Boydstun: John J. D. Boydstun; born June 4, 1831, in Woodford Co., IL and died September 2, 1882, in Texas, visiting a sick brother. He was the son of Bartlett Boydstun and Isabel Dawdy Boydstun. Research by Linda Johnson, Gladys Domonoske and Margaret R. Bates.


 

 

 


 

Kate P. Boydstun: Kate P. Morrison Boydstun; born November 6, 1861, and died March 8, 1890, in Indian Point Twp., Knox Co., IL. Kate was married to Thomas Marshall Boydstun, September 1, 1880, in Abingdon, Knox Co., IL. They had two children during their brief time together. She died March 8, 1890. Thomas Marshall Boydstun; born October 6, 1853, to John J. D. Boydstun. He was the brother of Minnie B. and Mary L. Boydstun. Thomas remarried June 26, 1891, to Malinda Louisa Holland, born October 17, 1862, in Mansfield, Tarrant Co., TX. They had seven children together. She died December 24, 1928, in Abingdon, Knox Co., IL. They are both buried in the Abingdon Cemetery. Research by Linda Johnson, Gladys Domonoske and Margaret R. Bates.

 

 

 



 

Mary L. Boydstun: Born Sept 1851 in Indian Point Twp., Knox Co., IL. She died about Feb 1864. Research by Linda Johnson, Gladys Domonoskea and Margaret R. Bates.

Thomas J. Boydstun:  Thomas J Boydstun; i.e. Thomas Jefferson Boydstun born November 16, 1868 (headstone says 1871), Indian Point Twp., Knox Co., IL and died June 22, 1934, in East Moline, IL. His parents were Asa Thomas Boydstun and Emily Dawdy Boydstun (also buried in Boydstun/Dawdy Cemetery). Information from Huggins Funeral Home Records says that Thomas J. Boydstun married “Emma” and they were parents to Thomas J. Boydstun who is apparently buried at Abingdon City Cemetery. Research by Linda Johnson, Gladys Domonoske and Margaret R. Bates.

John/Tabitha Dawdy: John W. Dawdy born Jul 22, 1798, in Sullivan Co., TN. He was married three times; first to Elizabeth Glazebrook, daughter of Augusin and Susannah Glazebrook of Virginia, Nov 11, 1819, in Barren Co., Kentucky, They had two sons. She died about 1829. He then married Sarah E. Boydstun, June 3, 1830, in Barren Co., KY. Sarah was the daughter of Benjamin Boydstun and Mary Gardner. Sarah and John had two daughters. She died before 1835. He married her younger sister, Tabitha, on June 10, 1835, in Bloomington, McClean Co., IL. Together they had ten children. Malinda their eldest daughter, born on October 8 1843, who died of drowning, July 29, 1860, is also buried in the Boydstun/ Dawdy Cemetery. Research by Linda Johnson, Gladys Domonoske and Margaret R.
