Bradford Cemetery

Bradford Cemetery is located in the northeast quarter of Section 26 in Persifer Township. It is situated on the north side of Route 150 between County Highway 15 and Knox Road 1600E. Follow the grassy lane until you reach the north end of the field and you will see the cemetery just inside a grove of trees. The cemetery is surrounded by a ravine on three sides.

Andrew Collopy-Fritz and Larry Mackie showed Claire, my daughter, and I where the Bradford Cemetery is located and gave us the grand tour. It has been cleared and restored by the "United Methodist Men" or UMM as Andrew describes this devoted group of men. Thank you for your dedication!  Additional restorative work will continue in the future...

"Charles Bradford & family were some of the first to Persifer Township, arriving in 1833 and settling south of Dahinda. He was a descendant of William Bradford, the second Governor of the Plymouth Colony established by the English Puritans (Pilgrims) in 1620 on the shores of Massachusettes  Bay.  Charles was buried on his own property, present day north of U S. Rt. 150 along a fence row. Property Owner: Rex Gibbs" ...submitted by Andrew Collopy-Fritz
