Miss Bessie Beard, of Peoria, Illinois, arrived here Sunday for a visit with her sister, Miss Grace S(c?)radner.

Earl Brown returned Monday from Elmwood, where he has been making ? over Sunday visit with his mother.

Mrs. Roscoe Woolsey returned Sunday evening from Gilson where she has been making a few days' visit with her sister, Mrs. Charles Tracey, and family, also she visited other relatives and friends in that town.

Harley Jones, of Burlington, visited Saturday and Sunday with his father, William Jones and family.

Misses Grace Huggins and Josephine Woods, Knox college students, of Galesburg, were guests at the home of their friend, Miss Mary Lacy Sunday.

Dr. Joe Bell, district superintendent from Galesburg, preached at the Methodist church Sunday, November 2, 1913, during the absence of the pastor, Reverend Mr. Nelson, of Brown, who is making a two weeks' stay in Minnesota.

Mrs. William Cation and Misses Ella and Lottie Cowell were called to Maquon Sunday evening to the death of a nephew of theirs.

Miss Mary Mastin who has been making a few days' visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mastin, returned Sunday evening to her school duties at Macomb, Illinois.

Mrs. Thompson and daughter left Sunday for their home at Cuba after several days' stay here at the home of her mother, Mrs. Nels Lubin.

The standard bearers of the Methodist Episcopal Church will meet Friday evening at the home of Mrs. A. N. Wyman on East Main, November 8, 1913.

Robert Lulin, of Chicago, arrived here Sunday for a visit with his father.

Mrs. Olive Root went to Maquon Sunday evening for a few days' stay with her friend, Mrs. ? Housh.

Mr. Simpkins, of Colorado, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Simpkins, visited yesterday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson and son.

Misses Mary Buckley, Ruth Barrett and Mary Campbell returned Sunday evening from a few days' stay with their friend, Miss Blessing Lewis, at Edwards, Illinois.

Elma Sherman returned Monday from an over Sunday stay with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sherman and family.

Harley Wyman, wife and two children of Brown's Valley, Minnesota, visited here Sunday, guests at the home of his brother, A. N. Wyman and wife.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Foster and daughters have moved into Mrs. Keightley's house on Main Street which was recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rickords and family who have moved into the George Witherell's property in the south part of town.
