Howard C. Blakeley, 68, of 119 S. Fourth St., Kilbourne died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, May 25, 1997, at his residence.

Born Aug. 20, 1928, in Oakford to Earl M. and Emma Pedigo Blakeley, he married Marilyn Vaughn on May 14, 1949, in Petersburg. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Cindy Price of Petersburg; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Dossett, and two brothers.

He was a wire drawer for Prairie Steel in Havana.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kilbourne Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Wagstaff will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
