The above picture shows the interior of part of Atterberry's Store, especially the soda fountain department. The two-story store extended all the way to the alley with an elevator to transfer heavy items up and down. Atterberry was a very likeable businessman and built the business beyond anyone's expectation of today. He employed eleven clerks at one time. Hettie Ade worked in the store at one time Atterberry handled about anything that Sears Roebuck handled at that time.
