There were very few pictures taken of store interiors years ago; however, we have been able to locate a few. No one living today can remember this picture which was taken during the 1890s. Maltby had been in business maybe twenty years. There is no doubt that he operated a store longer than any other merchant operating more than fifty years. He sold his interest as a shoe cobbler and harness maker to Earl Allen in 1926.
