Oakford Section Crew
Page 40

This picture is of one of Oakford's early section
crews which maintained the track from the river bridge
to white crossing. Many of the residents of Oakford
worked for years at a dollar a day as a section hand.
It was a common prank of the boys of Oakford to sneak
out the pump car and travel to Kilbourne to attend a dance
and then pump back and slip it into the shed before morning.
Members of the Oakford crew in this picture are standing
from left to right: Dan McKee, Amos Ogden, Ike Harmon,
Charles Hall, Albert Dick, Charlie Bowman, Ed Pedigo.
Seated from left to right: Kit Pedigo, Dan Anderson, (Boss)
and Morris Ogden.
