Margaret Skaggs left her mark through the music she taught many Oakford youngsters. Her folks lived west of town in the 1870's but later moved away. During the 1930's Margaret returned, a refined lady holding several degrees in music and qualified to teach all levels. She retired from teaching at Kay Watkins school, but continued private lessons even after she was confined to a wheel chair. Ever interested in children, she died in 1966 at the age of 96.
