JOHN H. CANTERBURY, 85, DIES AT ST. JOHN'S HOSPITAL WEDNESDAY, HEART ATTACK
John H. Canterbury, 85, retired farmer of Cantrall, died at the St. John's Hospital Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. where he had been taken earlier in the day after suffering a heart attack.
He had been a resident of the community his entire lifetime, having been born April 14, 1860.
Surviving him are the widow, Elizabeth; two sons, Clair E. and J. Harold of Cantrall; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, William of Springfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Dixon, Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Myrtle Hamilton, Harristown, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday from the Mott and Son Funeral Home with Rev. D. K. Teater in charge.
Burial will be in Indian Point cemetery.
