JAY O. PRIMM, LIFETIME RESIDENT HERE, DIED AT 4 P.M. MONDAY
Jay O. Primm, 78, a resident of Athens the last 9 years, and a lifelong
resident of the community, passed away at 4 p.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital, where he had been a patient about two weeks.
He was born on a farm northeast of Athens, April 26, 1882, a son of the late Ninian and Agnes Mott Primm, where he grew to manhood. After his marriage, he followed farming until his retirement nine years ago, when they moved to this city. He was a member of the Fancy Prairie Presbyterian church.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Delbert W., of rural route,
Athens; one daughter, Mrs. Nadine Coffey of Hartsburg; two brothers, Harry of Athens, and Roy D. of Temple City, California; one sister, Mrs. Mary Graham, of rural route, Athens; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Mott and Son Funeral Home at 3 p.m.
Wednesday with Re. Harvey B. Wright officiating.
Burial was made in Indian Point Cemetery.
