Petersburg Observer November 22, 1918

On last Saturday, November 16, Mrs. John Adams, a life long resident of this community, passed to her last reward. For some time Mrs. Adams had been ailing in health and when she was struck by the previous plague of Spanish Influenza, she was unable to throw off the burden of the disease which late became complicated with pneumonia. Thus passed from this world the life of one who was loved and respected by a large circle of friends. She was born in Petersburg, November 28, 1869. In 1894 she was united in marriage to John Adams of this city. To this union were born five children, Charles, LeRoy, Dennis, Lee, Harry, Goldie Marie, and Beatrice all of who survive her.

Owing to the nature of the last illness the funeral services were conducted at Rose Hll cemetery, Sunday afternoon, by Rev. S.R. Harvey, officiating.
