Petersburg Observer August 15, 1919

Mrs. Annie Ahlers, wife of Herman Ahlers, of near Tallula, died at Springfield Hospital, Aug. 9, 1919, at the age of 46 years, 2 months and 27 days.  She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, one son, George, her father, John Schone, and quite a number of other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted at the home of her father in Tallula, by Rev. C. A. Weiss. Interment was at Judy Cemetery.
