James Bailey, 37 years of age, son of the late John and Ella Bailey, former residents of Strode Point died at St. John's hospital, Springfield, Monday evening one hour after he was struck on a crossing by an automobile. He was an employee of the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, five sisters, Mesdames Raymond Simms, Flora Leutenmeyer, Margaret Irwin, Raymond Birnbaum and George Bartlett, two brothers, Albert and Thomas Bailey.
Funeral services were held at the residence at 120 East Carpenter Street this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Louis P. Fisher of Cantrall officiating. Interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
