Died, at her home in this city on Tuesday evening June 18, 1912, Mrs. Henry Balster aged 68 years, 5 months, and 7 days - Mrs. Henry Balster nee Luken, was born Jan. 11, 1844, in Amt Aurich Ostfriesland, Germany. In 1865 she came to this country, and has since resided here. She was married to Henry Balster Mar. 13, 1866. To this union eight children were born of which 2 died in infancy. Mrs. Balster was an invalid for over two years. She passed away Tues. evening at 11:30 leaving her husband Henry Balster, five sons, John, Herman of Deerfield, Mo., Behrens of Petersburg; Henry of Pawnee, Ill., Thomas of Tice; one daughter Mary Kasten of Petersburg, eight grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Balk of Vernon Co. Mo. And Mrs. H. Tiemann of this city. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the St. Luke's Church conducted by Rev. Theo. F. Kruger Internment at Rose Hill. The decedent is survived by five sons, John, Benjamin, Henry and Thomas, all of the community and Harmon, Louisville, Ky. Ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
