Funeral servies for Mrs. Harriet Amanda DaPron, who died at St. Joseph's hospital in Quincy, Ill., July 12, 1942, were held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 1942, at the Irish Grove cemetery. The pallbearers were Crawford Loy, Elmer Bailey, Frank Sommers, Alvin Gilkison, George Hildebrand and John W. Houseworth. The flowers were cared for by Margaret Chester, Verla Wehler, Florence Snyder, Alice Wylie and Ora Wilson.

Mrs. DaPron was the daughter of Alfred and Amanda Moore Pond and was born near Greenview September 14, 1874. She was married to Thomas DaPron at Springfield, Ill., April 17, 1906, and most of their married life was spent in the farming communities near Middletown and Greenview. They moved to Mason City several years ago and Mr. DaPron conducted a trucking business until the illness which preceeded his death March 28, 1942. Only a few weeks ago Mrs. DaPron and her son, Julius, and daughter, Dorothy, moved to Quincy, Illinois. Mrs. DaPron had been an invalid for some years.

Mrs. DaPron was a member of the Irish Grove Presbyterian church. She is mourned by three chidlren, Miss Dorothy DaPron, at home; Julius DaPron, at home, and Mrs. William Bowman Jr., of Albany, Illinois; also by four grandchildren.
