COAL MINER, DEAD
William Davis, 64, of Athens, employed in the coal mine there for a number of years, died at 6 a.m. yesterday at the residence, following an illness of two months.
Surviving are four sons, Lewis, James and Hayden, all of Athens, and Thomas, Springfield; daughter, Mrs. E. A. Carpenter, Springfield, and three grandchildren. His wife, Maria, died in 1942.
The body was removed to the Mott & Son funeral home at Athens where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (D.S.T.) tomorrow. Burial will be in the Hall cemetery.
