DEATH OF MRS. D. S. FRACKELTON
Mrs. Marie Louise Frackelton, wife of our esteemed fellow-townsman, Mr. D.S. Frackelton, the banker and merchant, died at her residence, Wednesday evening, Dec. 16, 1885, after an illness of but a week or ten days.
Deceased was the daughter of Dr. Charles Chandler, of Chandlerville, in which place she was born in the year 1835, therefore being 50 years, 4 months and 16 days of age at the time of her death. She was married to Mr. D.S. Frackelton March 13, 1856, and has since resided in this city. By the union six children were born, five of whom survive her, and reside at their home in this city.
Mrs. Frackelton as a most estimable lady, beloved for many Christian virtues and charitable disposition. She was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church, and was a bright and shinning light in the Christian firmament, never faltering in her duties, and spreading the light of the truth wherever she went, with words of cheer and encouragement to the weary and heavy laden, and by lending a charitable hand to the sick and needy. In the death of Mrs. Frackelton, the church loses one of its most valued members, society one of its purest ladies and the husband and children a true wife and fond mother.
The funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church this afternoon, at 2 P.M., Rev T.C. McFarland officiating, assisted by Rev. J.C. Momyer, after which the remains will be taken to their last resting place in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The Observer in accord with a host of friends tenders its most heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
