Daniel C. Hale Dies
Word has been received here of the sudden death of Daniel Christopher Hale, at his home at Proctor Endowment, Peoria, Wednesday at 11 a. m., September 15, 1937.

He had not been in ill health, but had been occupied with his work within a few hours of his demise.

He was the son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Alex Hale. Was born in this city April 16, 1864 and was 73 years of age at the time of his death.

Leaving here in 1887, his trade led him into building activities of wide scope. He became associated with Wm. Allen Sons Co., Peoria and under them supervised the construction of numerous institutions and public buildings.

Early in life he became a member of the Athens Christian Church. Mr. Hale never married.

He is survived by his sisters, Miss Elizabeth Hale, Springfield; Mrs. C. W. Holliday, Mrs. T. N. Kucher, Peoria; Mrs. George W. Boyd, Mrs. C. E. Evans and Mrs. John E. Culver, Athens.

Funeral services will be held at the Proctor Endowment, Peoria, Friday at 10:00 a. m. and final services, Saturday, September 18 at 11:00 a. m. at the late Hale home in Athens.
