George Washington Lott died at his home south of this city, Tuesday night, March 9, 1920 at 10 o'clock, aged 73 years and 24 days.

Deceased was born February 16, 1817 at Wheeling, West Virginia, and came to Illinois at the age of 18 years with his parents, the late George and Rebecca Lott and settled on the farm where he died after a continuous residence upon the farm settled by his parents.

He was united in marriage to Miss Laura Walter's, April 1, '79, at Petersburg, Illinois. To this union three children were born, all of whom survive.

Surviving are two sons, Charles L. and Aaron, one daughter, Mrs. Newton Olson of Cantrall, three sisters, Mrs. Phillip Scharf of Springfield, Mrs. Nancy Sexton of Lincoln and Mrs. Thomas Tabur of this city and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the late residence, south of this city, Friday morning, March 12, at 10 o'clock. Rev. John Lemon of Springfield, officiating.

Interment will be made at Hall Cemetery.
