Mrs. Todd Dead
After Long Illness

Mrs. Ella J. Todd, widow of Wade Houghton Todd and a resident of this community for most of her life, died at 2:25 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at St. Johns Hospital, following a long illness at the age of 69. She had been a patient in the hospital since September 1.

Mrs. Todd was born April 1, 1892 in Chandlerville, daughter of James and Emma Selby Combs, and was married to Wade Houghton Todd in Havana on Sept. 16, 1911. He preceded her in death in 1946.

She is survived by two sons, Tade Todd of Fancy Prairie and James Todd of Petersburg; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Ahten of East Peoria; Mrs. Harold Miller and Mrs. Kenneth Page, Petersburg; one brother, William Combs of Havana; two sisters, Mrs. Cordelia Lowe of E. Peoria and Mrs. Emma Rutledge at Pekin; twenty four grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

The body was brought to the Satorius Funeral Home here and services were held at the Fist Baptist Church at 1:30 Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Ollie Philips. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
