FIRST BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
An election was held for a board of supervisors, which held its first meeting in the court house in Keithsburg June 12, 1854. It was composed of the following named persons:
R. R. Cox, from North Pope, now Rivoli township.
William Petrie, from Richland Grove township.
Thomas Likely, from Utah, later Palmyra, now Suez township.
Elisha Miles, from Green township.
David Little, from Pairfield, afterwards Madura, now Preemption township.
James Burnett, from Ohio Grove township.
Graham Lee, from Perryton township.
Fred K. Frick, from Abington township.
David Lloyd, from Millersburg township.
Tyler McWhorter, from Duncan township.
C. Allen, from Keithsburg township.
N. Bassett, from New Boston township.
John Glancey, from Eliza township.
