William D. Brandenburg

Funeral services for William DeWitt Brandenburg, 74, Milan will be held at 2p.m. in Larson Funeral Home and 2:30 in Milan Presbyterian Church. the Rev. Clarence W. Gault will officiate and the Knights of Pythias will have charge of the services on Chippiannock Cemetery

Mr. Brandenburg died late Saturday in St. Anthonys Hospital after an illness of seven years.

Mr. Brandenburg was born Dec.18, 1882 in Milan. He attended Milan schools and married Myrtle Ranbarger in 1903. She died January 17, 1932. He married Margaret Misch Clinebell Nov. 14, 1937.

An interior decorator and painter, Mr. Brandenburg was associated for many years with the CH Brandenburg Sons Painting Firm and later with the D.W. Gitt Painting Firm in Rock Island. He was a member of the Milan Presbyterian Church.

A past chancelor commander of the Milan Knights of Pythias Lodge 477 and a 50 year member of the lodge, he had served as a master of finance for a number of years. Mr. Brandenburg was a member of the Milan Village Board for two terms.

Surviving are the widow, a brother Charles A. Brandenburg, Milan.
