Cordova Then and Now Revisited

In 1976 in honor of the Nation's Bi-Centennial, Mary Rogers and a team of volunteers put together a wonderful book on Cordova's history and pioneer families called Cordova Then and Now.

In 2001, in honor of the Library's 125th anniversary, Jo Cohrs and a team of volunteers (Florence Bennett, Cheryl Sasko, Romaine Bruner, Emily Jo Bruner, Mary Rogers) updated the original book. Cordova Then and Now Revisited quadrupled in size and went from 135 photos to 1040. The book was published in early 2001 and sold out in 3 weeks.

A second printing is now available at the Cordova Distriuct Library for people interested in purchasing a copy. (Cost $25)

Extensive military records of Cordova residents can be found at the Cordova District Library
