COURT HOUSE SQUARE

The square is the property of the county. It was first named Stephenson Square, but later the present name was adopted as on it are located the court house, jail and sheriff's residence, and to those respectively holding the office of sheriff, is due the neat and refined appearance of the neighborhood in this central part of the city.
