Edward A. Ludwig, 90, of 801 42nd Ave. , Rock Island , died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1992 , at home. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Moline Gospel Temple , where he was a member. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens , Silvis. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island . Memorials may be made to the church or the Visiting Nurses and Homemakers of Rock Island County

. Mr. Ludwig was born April 2, 1902 , in Rock Island , the son of Heman and Minnie Meese Ludwig. He married Louise Nelson Aug. 14, 1923 , in Rock Island . He had been employed by Rock Island Southern Railroad for 22 years and later by Carver Lumber Co., Milan , for 20 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Sunday school at his church.

Survivors include the widow; daughters, Marcella Miller, St. Petersburg , Fla. , and Dolores Goold, Rock Island ; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Esther Schultz and brothers, Carl "Dutch" and Leroy Ludwig, Rock Island .
